Meet me!
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I discovered my passion for journalism in an unconventional way. When COVID-19 disrupted my senior year of high school, I turned to social media and content creation as a creative outlet. Encouraged by my high school broadcast teacher, I pursued journalism at the University of Mississippi, drawn to its Southern charm and opportunities for growth.
The University of Mississippi became the perfect destination, eight hours away from home, yet still rich in Southern charm and traditions. At Ole Miss, I found lifelong friendships through my sorority, Alpha Phi, and took a leap into broadcast journalism by joining the student-run newscast, News Watch Ole Miss. As soon as I left my first audition, I knew it was my calling.
Since the fall of 2021, I have been anchoring and reporting for News Watch Ole Miss… 4 years strong!
In 2023, after competing with hundreds of qualified applicants, I was one of 3 individuals chosen for a summer news-internship with KPRC 2 News in Houston, TX.
This past January of 2025 I was offered 2 semester internship positions with WTVA 9 News in Tupelo, MS, as well as a PIO internship with Oxford Police Department.
I have been extremely blessed with all of these opportunities to further my journalism and marketing career throughout my college years. Not only has it shaped my skills, but solidified my aspirations and goals for my future.
While journalism is my passion, there is more to me than just the news! I love to enjoy the simple things in life, like watching the Ole Miss Rebels not lose every football game! Lol. I love traveling, spending time with friends, making TikToks, shopping, and surrounding myself with people who inspire me. Whether I’m at the gym, lounging by the pool, or enjoying a much-needed lazy day, I believe in embracing every moment and striving to be the best version of myself.
